The Mifflin County Solid Waste Authority has recycling bins behind the Brown Township Building. They accept Newspaper, Mixed Paper, #1 and #2 Plastics, Aluminum and Tin Cans, and Corrugated Cardboard. The bins are available for use 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The Mifflin County Solid Waste Authority also accepts other recyclables and electronics at no cost. For a fee, they accept appliances, garbage, and construction debris.
